Girasol pool area now has a wireless network connection available. The network is called “Girasol”, does not require a password, and is open to all users. Enjoy!

SITUATION OF OPTIC FIBRE NETWORK

132 Avatel-routers have been istalled in the community and 8 are still missing due to the fact that technicians could not enter to the apartment. If the owners of thees still want to be connected they are asked to order the work individually by calling to Avatel 910 800 910. This must be done appr. 2 weeks before the desired time. So far this work is included in the community deal.

Suomela office and hobby hall, Suomen Urheiluhierojaopisto and Residencia Girasol will have their routers in near future.

Some TV-channels are under improvement. Finland TV2, TV3 and Nelonen for example.

Once the system allows better quality, the TV set must be put once to new channel search mode to set all the new channels.

If you want to purchase more services than included in the community deal, you must order them on your own cost from Avatel. We’ll give more instructions how to do that.

If you are familiar in using internet you can, however, go to Avatel web page http://www.avatel.org/girasol and order services you need. Like more speed, landline phone and mobile phone.

WHAT IS OPTIC FIBER

The community Pueblo Girasol has decided to offer good internet 100 MB to every apartment.
All the costs will be payed by the community. The individual share holder does not have to pay anything because this project has been included in the annual budget of the community.
One has to pay only the normal yearly cuota payment like always before.
The personnel of AVATEL is completing the project and they need to have a chance to get in to the apartment for the job required.
The work group will end the installations til the end of the following week.
If it shows that due to the owner any single apartment has no installation in the end of next week, the apartment does not get the internet acces now it will cause extra work later causing expenses to the apartment.
So people are asked to make sure that the technicians can go to the apartment.
If there is nobody at home, please leave the key to Hannu Karttunen H4 or Raimo Röyttä G18.
If your key is in the safety box of the community, please send an e-mail to rauno.jarvinen@outlook.com and tell that the key can be used.

THE OPTIC FIBRE PROJECT

The building project of the optic fibre internet network starts today.
At first the personnel of the company Avatel assembles the cabling to reach all the blocks A-H. As soon as this has been done, perhaps in a week, will start the work in the apartments.
In the course of the project there may be long TV-cuts of the antenna programs.
The target is to have internet access complete until the end of March in all apartments. This will get the TV-programs to be seen using the new network.
